Incubator Officially Opened

On June 11, 2010 in San Mateo at SDForum, the Consulate General of the Netherlands held a luncheon recognizing incubating entrepreneurs developing new technologies and business between the United States and the Netherlands.

Before the luncheon Consul General Bart van Bolhuis officially opened the incubator in San Mateo, where Dutch (start up) companies can stay for a period of 3 – 6 months to test the waters in Silicon Valley. Various speakers underlined the importance of the incubator, guaranteeing incoming companies a soft landing in the United States. Important part of the process is permanent resident SDForum www.sdforum.org of which the companies automatically become a member during their stay in the incubator. SDForum organizes 250+ events a year, ranging from raising venture capital to intellectual property.
