What is it exactly that motivates Dutch tech companies to come to the Bay Area? And which challenges do they face when doing so? Are these motivations and challenges different for American companies that are seeking business in the Netherlands? These are questions the Netherlands Office for Science and Technology would like to have answered in order to be able to assist these companies more effectively and efficiently. Ultimately the goal is to build a bridge between the two countries to ensure knowledge and talent exchange and facilitate the start-up and growth of Dutch hi-tech companies.
A study I’m doing on bilateral entrepreneurship dedicated to investigate partnerships between the companies, universities, investors and incubators is meant to shed light on the issues above. The full results should be available in April, but I invite you to join the Netherlands Network at the Dutch Business Breakfast on February 8th to listen to the progress I have made thus far and participate in our short discussion afterwards.
